Regulating voltage, also known as voltage regulator, is generally used in scientific research, experiments, testing, heating and insulation, soft start and other occasions. Provide different voltages to the load, and the voltage can be adjusted linearly when powered.

Small voltage regulators are all contact type, with capacity generally below 30KVA, single-phase 220V input, 0-250V output; three-phase 380V input, 0-420 output. The most common voltage regulator is one of the voltage regulators, so we also call it an automatic voltage regulator.

    Product introduction

    1. Less material consumption and low cost. Since the amount of silicon steel sheets and copper wires used in the transformer is related to the rated induced potential and rated current of the winding, that is, related to the winding capacity, the autotransformer winding capacity is reduced, the material consumption is reduced, and the cost is low.
    2. Easy to transport and install. Because it is lighter in weight, smaller in size and occupies less space than a double-winding transformer of the same capacity.
    3. Less losses and high benefits. The copper loss and iron loss of the self-winding transformer are lower than that of the double-winding transformer, because the amount of copper wire and silicon steel sheets is reduced, and the efficiency is higher under the same current density and magnetic flux density.
    4. Improve the ultimate manufacturing capacity of transformers. The ultimate manufacturing capacity of transformers is generally limited by transportation conditions. Under the same transportation conditions, the capacity of the autotransformer can be larger than that of the two-winding transformer.

    Product characteristics

    The structure and principle are similar to those of a transformer. It uses a moving coil that is short-circuited on the same core and moves up and down along the core column to change the impedance and voltage distribution of two other coils with equal turns and anti-phase series connection, and adjust the output voltage.
    Figure 2 shows the wiring principle of a moving coil voltage regulator. The core of the voltage regulator is a single-phase single-column yoke type on both sides, and sometimes there is a three-side yoke type. It has a main coil 1a and an auxiliary coil 1b, with the same number of turns.
    The ground is placed on the upper and lower halves of the iron core column and connected in series in reverse. The main coil 1a and the coil 2 are auto-coupled to each other to form an auto-transformer. Coil 3 is a moving coil with its own short circuit, and is placed outside coils 1a, 1b and 2. The moving coil can change its position through the transmission mechanism, thereby adjusting the output voltage U2.
    Changing the relative position between the moving coil, the main coil and the auxiliary coil, the impedance of the latter two coils will change accordingly, and the power supply voltage U1 is distributed to the main and auxiliary coils according to the impedance. When the moving coil completely overlaps with the main coil, the impedance of the main coil is the minimum, and the impedance of the auxiliary coil is the maximum. In this way, U2 is the minimum; conversely, when the moving coil completely overlaps the auxiliary coil, U2 is the maximum. When the moving coil gradually moves from top to bottom, U2 can gradually increase from 0 to the maximum value.
    If three moving coil voltage regulator units are installed on the same base and share a transmission mechanism, they can be connected according to the three-phase connection method (usually Y connection) to form a three-phase moving coil voltage regulator.
